Philippa is a qualified nursery nurse and has worked with children with many different disabilities from PKU and other food allergies & intolerences, Autism, ADHD, Cerebal palsey, Cistic fibrosis and many more besides.
It wasn’t until she was nearly 40 years old that she herself was dianosed with a genetic condition now called Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder(HSD). She now has some additions to that diagnosis however, as HSD has many comorbidities associated with it. One of those being Autism although i don’t have a dianosis for that & it’s unlikely that there is any point in me asking for a referal as most of my requests get turned down.
I also have an underactive thyroid, raynaud’s syndrome, borderline Gastroperesis and Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance. I’m hoping that this particular diagnosis means i am going to turn into the first ever female Incredible Hulk. But sadly this is a pre malignant blood cancer. There is not much info on this condition but it doesn’t sound like a very nice ending to my life. So i’d better get on with having some fun now so break out the vapes and some good music and let’s have some zoom fun.
Anyway that’s enough about me, me, me, It’s over to you. I would like to make more connections with people with disabilities and help to empower you any way i can. Unfortunaely that will have to be over Zoom until the nicer weather and even then would most likey have to be somewhere in Goldington or Goldington end of Castle ward. The Gordon Arms is a very nice pub that i can get to in my wheelchair and they do great pizzas and other food.
